HACCP a Review
HARPC vs. HACCP
Caribe Royale Hotel 8101 World Center Drive Orlando, Florida
Day One (Feb 26 1-4:30 PM) HACCP a review: A HACCP refresher workshop with presentations and discussions focusing on the maintenance of an effective food safety/HACCP Program with a special emphasis on the relationship between HACCP as we have known it for years (Codex Alimentarious) and enhanced requirements from the GFSI approved food safety schemes.
Day Two (Feb 27 9-12) HARPC vs. HACCP: This discussion will provide a good foundation for understanding the proposed FSMA requirements related to HARPC (Hazard Analysis Risk-Based Preventive Controls) providing a practical approach to meeting the new FSMA requirements. While many companies throughout the food chain have developed a series of safety programs, FSMA will require that all FDA-regulated food companies develop and implement written food safety plans. This requirement applies to all facilities that manufacture, process, pack or hold human food. At this time, it appears that this new FDA rule will require that firms develop and implement written food safety plans that identify potential food safety hazards, put into place steps to address those hazards, verify that the steps are working, and outline how to correct any problems that arise.
Mark your calendars! You won’t want to miss out on this fantastic event!
